BEHIND THE CURTAINS

After years working for award-winning Architectural and

Interior Design practices in the Bay Area, Edward Ngiam set up

1spacedesign to focus on highly individual, stunning, unique

spaces without compromise on luxury and comfort.

He began his career in Interior Design back in Malaysia;

his fascination and passion for architecture and interior design took

him all over the world, eventually landing him in

San Francisco in 1985.

After acquiring degrees in both Interior Design and Architecture, he

was ready to fulfill his life-long passion for them in the real world.

He continues to develop his love and appreciation for the work of

local artists and fine craftsman. He patronizes flea markets and

consignment shops, searching for unique found objects and

furniture pieces wherever he will be,

San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and even when he is abroad

vacationing.
